An amendment to the German Telecommunications Act (TA) is expected to become effective within the next few weeks. This amendment will include provisions of consumer protection, waiting loops, caller rate announcements, transparency and billing.

As soon as we know when this amendment will become effective de facto and a consolidated version of the TA is available we will inform you more detailed about the changes.

The respective temporary arrangement regarding waiting loops is expected to become effective on July 1st, 2012 at the earliest. From then on all waiting loops at 0180, 0700, 0900 and 118xy numbers at the beginning of a call have to be free of charge for the caller. From April 1st, 2013 at the earliest all waiting loops (at the beginning of the call and later) have to be free of charge for the caller.

If you want to use waiting loops at the beginning of the call furthermore don´t hesitate to contact us in order to discuss the implementation in each single case.
